International Conference on Heritage at Risk, DUBROVNIK, 18-21 May 2009
The purpose of this project, financed by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Union, is to redefine the cultural values attached to Built Heritage to promote cross-cultural understanding and co-existence of different cultural identities, to develop common guidelines to assist in the retention of the built heritage, and to promote intercultural dialogue through the exchange of knowledge, improved opportunity for trans-national mobility and dissemination of information within the region of SE Europe to incorporate Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Albania and Kosovo.
The project is co-ordinated by the Transylvania Trust (Romania), in partnership with the following co-organisers: Cultural Heritage without Borders, (Sweden), National Office for Cultural Heritage, (Hungary), Dubrovnik Preservation Foundation, (Croatia), and The Butrint Foundation, (UK).
